Places to Take Your Dog

Lee County Off-Leash Dog Beach Park
Route 865, Fort Myers Beach, Florida
Dogs are allowed off-leash at this beach. Please clean up after your dog and stay within the dog park boundaries. Dog Beach Park is located south of Ft. Myers Beach and north of Bonita Beach on Route 865. Parking is available near New Pass Bridge. A brochure about the beach and Barkingham Dog Park in PDF is available as a downloadable PDF from Lee County.

The following are also dog-friendly beaches. All dogs must be kept on leashes and owners must clean up after their pets.

Bonita Springs

Lover's Key
County Road 865, just south of Big Carlos Pass.

Barefoot Beach State Recreation Area
North of Wiggins Pass in Collier County, off west end of Bonita Beach Road.


Fort Myers Beach
